The rainbow after the storm

It was a severely cold winter. Many parts of the country suffered from stormy weather, continuous rain and heavy snowfall. Gwen and Zelda?s family had been planning a holiday to the Drakensberg, but the weather prospects were not good at all. The girls kept themselves busy indoors, but got bored. Dad seemed worried about the holiday, but Mom continued to pack and prepare everything. Then, without realising that the rain had stopped, they are surprised by the most colourful rainbow, which reminded Mom of the beauty of the South African rainbow nation, and was the symbol of many beautiful things to come. It offered the prospect of a wonderful week in the Drakensberg.
